A medium-deep garnet color with hints of brick. Attractive, developed notes of crushed leaves, truffle and dusty corners meld with stewed cherries and blueberries. Light but evident oak notes of grilled bread and vanilla bean. Generously fruity despite the tertiary characters, the mouthfeel is smooth and supple with lifted acidity and powdery, rather drying, tannins. Drinking well now, the short finish suggests this is meant to be enjoyed now.
