Gabriel Meffre 2011 Saint-Vincent Barrel Sample  Rhône-style Red Blend (Côtes du Rhône)

abv: 14% | Price Tier: $

Deep, purple-streaked ruby core. Incredibly fragrant nose of blueberries, fresh sage, underbrush and minerals it’s that delicious smell of a winery filled with vats fermenting at harvest. Bright, mouthwatering acidity with soft, pillowy tannins that finish fine and dry. From the attack to the medium length, the wine exudes peak-of-ripeness boysenberries and mulberries. The impeccable freshness and purity of fruit is not affected by any use of new oak. Drink now to 2016, but it is utterly irresistible now. Great value!
