Youthful in its black color, with a deep, red raspberry rim, this wine is equally fresh on the nose. The vibrant palate reflects the aromas of black currant, blackberry, graphite, clove and incense. High, but well-contained, alcohol is reined in by fine-grain tannins and integrated, lifting acidity, making it a great food wine. The oak influence, evidenced by dark chocolate and vanilla top notes, is complementary and rather discreet. This is well above average for its appellation. Enjoy now through 2018.
