Tempranillo (Vino de la Tierra de Castilla)

This wine has a medium-deep, ruby-magenta core, with a pale Morello cherry rim. The nose is fresh, youthful and open, with aromas of dried strawberries, baked cherries and freshly cracked vanilla beans. The palate is caressing, with integrated medium acidity and gently rounded tannins. It’s easy to sip and would be equally welcome in informal fine dining restaurants and backyard barbecues. The generously fruity core gives it much leeway with different food pairings. It drinks well now and though it may hold well for a while, its short finish suggests it has little mystery to unfold with time.
