Dehesa Valdelaguna 2013 Montelaguna
Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)
|
Inky black in color, with a minute mulberry rim, this wine looks and smells incredibly youthful. The attack is turbo-charged in blackberry, sloe and cassis flavors. Licorice, tea and graphite add layers of complexity on the palate that linger through the medium-length finish. There’s concentration without heaviness thanks to the lightly leathery tannins and mouthwatering acidity. With no obvious new oak, this wine is ready to be sipped now, though it should hold well through 2016.
