PepperGreen Estate 2017
Shiraz (Southern Highlands)
|
Smelling of damp tea leaves, fireplace smoke and dried mulberries, this wine is generous on the nose and shows some pleasant tertiary character. The palate is equally giving as well as easygoing, with considerable extract, smooth tannins and well-placed acidity. Tangy raspberries and red plum skin contrasted by sultry ganache make for an appealingly robust palate. The tannins turn slightly crisp on the moderate, smoky finish. This drinks well now and should be enjoyed in the next few years. Drink now–2023.
