Bodegas Argenceres 2011 Lágrima
Malbec (Mendoza)
|
The deep, tar-colored core incorporates blue hues. The aromas are bright but not overt. Blueberry jam, bacon, potting soil and animale sing on the nose. It’s dense in texture but the concentration is a bit disappointing, given the lovely profusion of aromas. The tannins are near seamless and the acidity is supportive, if a bit soft. Coffee bean and milk chocolate from oak predominate on the medium finish, where alcoholic warmth surfaces as well. Drink now—2016.
