Sonsierra  2010 Perfume de Sonsierra

Tempranillo (Rioja)

Tar black in color, this opens with a boisterous nose of licorice, blackcurrant, blackberry and a whiff of fresh rosemary. Full bodied, with slightly noticeable but well-managed alcohol, it has a juicy core of sloe and loganberry. The finish boasts medium length and slowly fading notes of bramble. Perky acidity and firm but suavely managed tannins nicely frame this youthful juice. It’s drinking well now, but it could use some time in bottle to sort itself out. Enjoy through 2018.
