Sauvignon Blanc (Santa Catarina)

This wine is a very pale straw color with a wide water-white rim. Varietally true with flavors of lemon curd, lime zest, cut grass and yellow grapefruit, it’s perky and youthful. The palate is viscous enough to border on cloying but has just enough acidic support to keep it in line. However, there is a slightly hard, citric quality to the acidity on the finish that means this wine is best for the table rather than sipped alone. Drink now through early 2014.
