Deep black at the core with brick tinges throughout, this wine shows an inviting combination of fresh and tertiary aromas. The richly fruited palate is awash with sweet vanilla and cinnamon notes. Behind the oak-derived notes are flavors of black plum, elderberry and sloe. The rounded, succulent tannins defer to the nicely supporting acidity for structure while the solid finish layers in crushed graphite notes. nicely aged in bottle, this is drinking very well now–2024.
