This wine has a youthful appearance, with a deep, black-laced core and a strawberry colored rim. The nose smells of milk chocolate-covered cherries and vanilla extract. The palate is medium bodied, with a touch of extract that lightly coats the palate on the quick finish. The medium-plus acidity is well integrated and the moderate tannins are nicely corralled. A good choice for a by-the-glass option in a casual restaurant or for a picnic. Drink now through 2016.
