This wine has a deep and rather murky center, with garnet streaks running from the black core to the brick rim. The nose shows significant development, with fallen autumn leaves, dusty earth and dried cigar. There’s also a sharp and compelling note of pine needles that is very typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is medium in body, with pronounced acidity and lightly leathery tannins. There’s an appealing, Médoc quality here, but the wine may be about to decline a fresher vintage would be worth a try. Drink now.
