This lightly hazy, black-inflected, brick-colored wine has a delicate, if forward, nose of rose petals, freshly-turned earth and pomegranate seeds. Highly refreshing, the vivacious acidity frames the medium-bodied palate while the lightly powdery tannins remain in the background. Mulberries, sweet black cherries, blueberries and cardamom flavor the fairly complex palate. This is a nice wine for a bistro or as a by-the-glass option in a hip wine bar. Enjoy now through 2017.
