This is a fresh, youthful and intensely aromatic wine with a deep, black-inflected core. It smells of mocha, fresh coffee grinds, açai and raspberry jam. The full-bodied palate sports scruffy and tugging tannins and suavely integrated acidity, both of which easily keep the medium-plus alcohol in check. The layered and lingering finish, impressive fruit purity and excellent typicity suggest this wine has a ways to go, even though it drinks well now. Drink now through 2021.
