This wine has an exotic nose dominated by dessert scents of vanilla, maraschino cherries, ganache and maple syrup. It’s pitch black from the core almost to the tiny mulberry rim. The attack feels quite sweet and the mild tannins caress, but the well-integrated acidity comes through with excellent support. The finish is short and one-note, tasting of vanilla extract. Easygoing and exuberant in fruit, enjoy this now through 2017.
