This cola-colored wine has a deep garnet rim. The bouquet is spicy, with tantalizing, mulled wine aromas. The medium-bodied palate feels disjointed between its crunchy acidity and dusty, dry tannins. The action here seems long-since past as the fruit flavors are fading and what’s left tastes dried-out. A more youthful wine might be quite nice. Drink now through 2017.
