Though not a screwcap, this bright, pale straw-colored wine is reduced on the nose. Looking beyond the reduction, there are aromas of grapefruit pith, lemon peel and water-drenched gravel. The palate is zesty and dynamic, with light spice, savory white-meat overtures, juicy grapefruit pulp, Meyer lemon, fennel, ginger and anise. The medium-length finish suggests that though this is a young one, it has a ways to go. Enjoy now through 2018.
