This wine is exceedingly overripe on the nose and palate. Rather than fresh, its fruit flavors of blackberries, black plums and sloe smell like forgotten fruit baked on a hot summer patio. It is full bodied on the palate, with light acidity and sharp tannins that mercifully fade quickly on the finish. This wine needs freshness as well as structural definition.
