This wine is opaque at the core and shows a dark garnet rim. The nose is well-evolved, with aromas of potpourri, beef broth and damp cigar. The palate echos the nose, though comes across a touch flat in flavor, which is a shame as the wine has good structure with a full body, pleasantly chewy tannins and vividly refreshing acidity. The finish lingers a bit, but its best days are passing. Two bottles tasted, drink now.
