A slightly rusty rim borders this dark, crimson-colored wine. The palate is becoming dry and crusty, but there’s just enough body to carry the dusty tannins and crunchy acidity for the moment. The moderately concentrated palate and modest finish show whispers of fresher fruit notes but mostly maturing fruit characters. Though just a few years old, this seems to be living in faded glory. Best to look for a newer vintage and drink this one up now.
