Somewhat faded in aromatics, this smells of baked yellow apples, water crackers and sawdust-strewn floors. Medium plus in body, with relaxed acidity and lots of toasty nuances, this is a big, broad-shouldered and rather tannic wine for a white bottling. Its predominate flavors are yeast, hay and bread rolls. It drinks alright now if well-chilled, but it is becoming discombobulated, so drink up before 2019.
