This wine has a medium-deep mulberry color, with a pale strawberry rim showing rusty inflections. The nose is elegant and reserved, but showing some maturity in its tones of fallen autumn leaves and old, grated cinnamon. While the nose shows some promise, the strawberry and red cherry fruit on the palate is flat, with lenient acidity. The gossamer tannins are pleasant in the full-bodied mouthfeel, but the wine needs more lift. Drink now through 2017.
