Deep purple in color, the mildly muted nose offers more earthy, musty and slightly oxidative notes with the dried cherry and cranberry notes playing second fiddle. The fruit feels slightly underripe, however there are some nice berry notes mixed in with the herbal undertones. Good acidity is the driving force on the palate as the aggressive tannins take over the super dry finish.
