This wine’s fresh nose shows boysenberry, plum, passion fruit and mint. The palate is taut, with a firm backbone of acidity and granular, grippy tannins. Despite the pleasant array of aromas, the palate is simple, offering tart red fruits. Though medium-plus in body, the fruit concentration is light and the structure is awkward. Given this wine’s reserved concentration, this wine likely won’t round-out to better accommodate the strict architecture here. Drink: 2018-19
