There is marked reduction on nose of this wine, giving it tones of ash and forest floor. Juicy cassis and sloe jam fill the plump palate, gilded with toast and vanilla notes. The structure is firm in grippy tannins, with fresh acidity balancing the robust, full body. The good concentration and lingering finish suggest this has a full life ahead and should evolve well.
