Deep purple-black center with raspberry highlights. Ripe fig and baked blueberries. Generous oak tannins create sharpness on the palate—lots of feisty, short sensations surface from the oak aging. Nonetheless, the oak also contributes a pleasant creaminess. The wine shows a moderate length more focused on oak notes than fruit. Drink now to 2014 with little beneficial evolution.
