This wine carries aromas of mulberry and blueberry jam laden with sweet spices. There’s no doubt that many sippers will adore its blast of generously pronounced—and even dried—fruit. However, feisty, pasty tannins leave the gripping palate noticeably dry. Moreover, their firmness is resolutely disconnected from the wine’s fervent acidity. Drink now–2021.
