This is a hedonistic wine, with an ample, powerful nose of cobbler berry fruits, sweet spices, toasted pastry and caramel. There is a hint of leather that gives this wine a light patina of attractive bottle age. The palate echoes the nose and adds dark chocolate and mocha to the complex swirl of black cherry and black plum. There is decent acidic lift and some chewy tannins to keep this boisterous wine in its place. Drink now–2022.
