This wine smells of incense, smashed black plums and baking spices. It’s full-bodied and bold in feel on the palate, showing a forceful display of flavors that echo the nose alongside cola. The tannins behave a bit gruffly, giving a pleasantly brisk dryness to the finish. The acidity is refreshing, though it takes a back seat to the tannins. Drink now–2022.
