This wine offers full-blown, potent aromas of cracked peppercorn, black olive and lush blackberry. The medium-bodied palate shows a balance of fine tannins against a silky, plump back, but it’s the bracing, cleansing acidity that does the heavy lifting. Almost bluntly youthful, this wine’s menthol-laden and richly-fruited finish suggests that it is in no rush to be enjoyed. Drink now–2024.
