This wine smells of black plum, pomegranate seed, elderberry and sloe joined by pungent tones of tar and evergreen. Deeply ripe flavors on the palate taste flat due to modest acidity. The clenching tannins and modest finish suggest that it doesn’t have the wherewithal to hold more than a few years. Drink now–2022.
