Showing a pale cranberry rim, this delightfully evolved wine offers an effusive nose of drying rose petals and sweet cherries. The palate is soft and enveloping in velvety tannins and integrated, supporting acidity. There's plentiful oak evidence here with a Bourbon-like sweet-toast note accompanied by caramel and vanilla extract. Overall, there's an almost candied touch on the palate and a modest finish. Drink now–2021.
