Scents of dried strawberry and red plum are accented with black fruit tones and scrub brush. A robust style of Sangiovese, the rather full midpalate suggests this may have another grape variety blended in. The rugged tannins blend nicely with the balanced acidity and medium alcohol. Alas, the finish is clipped, four square and simple. fine in a pinch with a simple pasta or pizza, but this is for casual drinking early on. Drink now–2023.
