Brimming with youthful exuberance, aromas of blueberry, sloe and cassis waft from the glass. While supple, full-bodied and custard-like on the palate, this is impressively well balanced, with a becoming light bitterness and vivacious acidity. The tannins are broad, but it seems that any grip they might have is hidden by the fruit’s voluptuousness. The subtly gamy finish suggests this will show well with grilled meat and fowl.
