This wine is all silk and succulence on the attack. Rapturous in its concentration, this is a hearty wine bestsuited to cold weather fare. Brimming with forest berry flavors, there is an enticing, smoky charcoal note on the palate, too. Good tension equally distributed between the buoyant acidity and svelte tannins contributes to drinkability. Alas, spirity heat on the back palate and a syrupy, moderate finish detract from the final impression. Drink now–2024.
