This high-wattage, raven-colored wine, with black streaking at the core, displays flashy ripe fruit flecked with sweet spice. The chiseled acidity keeps the hulking palate focused while the corraled tannins play a secondary role. Ripe, somewhat pruney notes abound on the palate. The lingering finish is impressive and adds on some pleasant mineral-driven tones. Drink now–2023.
