Bold in a brooding black-fruit character—especially black currant and blackberry, there is also a strong minerality here. Firm and lean on the attack yet very weighty on the palate, this is a tour de force and needs time in the bottle. The concentration will unfold nicely in a few years and the firm but very polished tannins will relax. The warm finish isn’t distracting thanks to the integrated, mouthwatering acidity. Drink 2022–2026.
