This young wine roars with full-throttle power and ample grippiness. Jam-packed with red and black fruits, its rounded midpalate feels turbo-charged. However, it does show two mitigating characteristics: a pithy tannic grip and a visceral acidity. The flavors show a surprisingly edgy tartness with red fruits like pomegranate seeds and tart red plums. It wouldn’t hurt to give this wine some time in the bottle, but its edge may not calm down. Drink with rustic dishes. Drink now–2023.
