Dark in color and coy on the nose, this wine reveals little other than dried black currants and asphalt on the nose. The palate is no more giving. The tannins are firm—almost clenching—and the acidity crackles with energy. With air, the wine shows some blackberries, evergreen and soy. This is youthful in fruit and structure and could certainly use more time in the bottle. Luckily, the solid concentration and minerally finish suggest there is no rush. Drink now–2026.
