Pitch black in color, this bold wine has a reticent nose. However, its palate is youthful, open and even charming. Tasting of ripe black plums and cassis sprinkled with spice, the lush, broad palate is nicely framed by invigorating acidity and fluffy, pillowy tannins. Very drinkable now, the medium concentration, good structural integration and moderate persistence suggest this is best enjoyed in the next few years. Drink now–2024.
