Smelling of dry-aged steak, oil-cured black olives and that inimitable Southern French garrigue, this is a chunky, exuberant and very approachable wine. There is a charmingly refined rusticity here that delivers drinkability and sophistication. Fruit flavors ooze with notes of sweet-tart black currant and blackberry. The tannins are dense but refined and lightly drying on the lifted, lingering and solidly mineral finish. Drink now–2025.
