Delightfully Old World in aroma with its earthy, peaty and meaty overtones, the palate follows in a similar vein. Light iron notes on the palate are joined by savory spice, dried pine needle and umami tones. The palate is full-bodied but rather four-square with a slightly brash flair of acidity and sandy tannins. With its short finish and moderate complexity, it doesn’t seem that this will gain much in time. Drink up to enjoy its youthful fervor now–2024.
