Exuberantly ripe and spicy, this compact, forward wine is extravagant. Smelling of cassis, blackberry jam, vanilla extract and intense baking spice, this is a head-turner. The palate teems with ripe fruit and youthful plumpness. Decadent savory spice tags along with a hint of meatiness, good minerality and black fruit ripeness. The finish has decent length, and there is just enough acidic lift and rounded tannins to nicely balance the powerful alcohol. While pleasant to taste, this is so thick that it would be hard to drink for most. Drink now–2025.
