Fragrant on the nose, this smells of hay, yellow wax beans, grapefruit and blanched almonds. The perky palate mirrors the nose, layering in a crushed chalk note. Moderate in body and nicely dry from start to medium finish, this shows compelling complexity and a tantalizing saltiness on the palate. The vivacious youthfulness gives an immediacy but there’s enough substance here to let this evolve to benefit a few years in bottle. Drink now–2024.
