Pale straw and luminous in appearance, this smells of white grapefruit peel, white peppercorn and honeydew melon rind. The palate tastes immediately of struck flint, and its pinging, pungent acidity gives a distinct bitterness to the wine. Light in body, with copious citrus flavors, the palate is clean but straightforward and the finish is extremely fast. The modest concentration suggests this likely won’t develop much more to benefit in the bottle. Drink now–2023.
