Open and fruit-driven on the nose with intriguing nuances of leather, tobacco and old spice drawer, this turns quickly overripe on the palate with plump fig and prune flavors. There is good midpalate generosity with plentiful, generous fruit, but the flavors are all upfront and quickly off the palate. A hint of toasted spices pop on the palate and linger through the moderate finish. This would be a decent bin-end or wine by the glass in a high-volume, casual dining restaurant.
