On the nose, notes of faint cheese rind are muted by citrus, Macintosh apple and wet-rock minerality. The palate matches, but there is also a delicate hawthorn blossom in the finish. Acidity is vibrant, but the finish of the wine wanes a bit. The wine yearns for aeration. Shelve for three years or aerate before drinking.
