On the nose, this wine has overripe fruit, dried violet and lavender, beef broth and black pepper. All that is carried through to the palate, where the fruit ends a little brighter. Florality expands on the mid and back palate. Tannins are prominent, but silky in texture. There is great extraction and a creaminess to this wine, and a long finish that warrants a fatty steak.
