Sage, chocolate, cassis and stewed black plum on the palate, then the fruit takes on a slightly Bubbalicious, confectionery quality. It’s a nice marriage, as pencil lead balances rose petal on the palate, and sandalwood and graphite notes lead into expansive, persistent tannins. Shelve for five years.
