All the alluring elements are there on the nose and palate: ripe black-raspberry fruit, pronounced oak and an opulent structure, but alas, they all sit magnified and apart, with little to bind them together in a cohesive wine. This is a teenager that needs to grow into its maturity. Cellar for another five to eight years.
